About Le Mura

The moment the plates arrived, it was clear that Le Mura embraces a colorful and thoughtful approach to Sicilian cuisine. A well-balanced dish of swordfish carpaccio combined fresh, vibrant flavors with subtle seasoning that didn’t overpower the palate. The selection found on the Le Mura menu reflected an emphasis on local ingredients, though some choices occasionally felt more traditional than innovative. While some dishes demonstrated impressive culinary restraint and finesse, others edged toward familiarity. Photographs from previous visits often highlight the restaurant’s inviting plating, which aligns with the visual appeal observed firsthand.

Ambient noises of nearby traffic mingled with soft chatter, creating an energetic yet relaxed dining setting. The restaurant’s layout, though somewhat compact, allowed for a cozy experience without the pressure of hurried service. Waitstaff appeared knowledgeable and attentive, occasionally providing insightful recommendations that complemented the meal well. Reviews from various visitors seem to echo this sentiment, emphasizing steadiness in service even during busy periods. Pricing appeared moderate, with portions justifying the expense despite some inconsistencies in component execution. The interplay between quality and cost led to a balanced overall visit, where value was mostly maintained.

The surrounding area lends the restaurant a unique charm, even if unspoken in conversation. Strolling patrons often peek inside, curious to match the Le Mura restaurant’s reputation with firsthand experience. Subtle details in the décor, such as historic brickwork and warm lighting, contribute to a comfortable yet unpretentious atmosphere. Although not without its minor flaws, particularly in pacing and occasional seasoning lapses, the establishment holds a solid place among Palermo’s local dining options. The occasional wait for courses suggests a focus on preparation, aiming to capture the essence of each dish rather than hastening service.

Disrespectful of customers, but good pizza Looks kinda tacky/snobby on the outside but the pizza inside is incredible! Best pizza I’ve had in town. Great bread and beautiful ingredients. I’d give it 5 stars for the pizza but it really annoys me when service wears masks on their faces for 10 seconds before placing them under their chins for the rest of the night. Not wearing a mask properly is just disrespectful and honestly just selfish disregard for the pandemic and their customers.

It’s a decent. It is definitely tailored towards tourists; nonetheless the ice cream was good, pizza was good, and the French fries were very good (seemed homemade). I wouldn’t say it’s the best food you’ll ever have in town, but it’s solid for a quick bite (this place is not fine dining). The staff were very friendly to us, so overall I would say it was an okay dining experience. Don’t come here with high expectations for a great Sicilian meal, but if you’re here for multiple nights and find yourself needing a quick bite, this spot is a good option for what it is. Great place just to stop and get ice cream as well.

Our hotel was right down the road from here, so it was just a short walk. After a long flight, a slow paced lunch was needed to get some bearings of a new time zone. We ended up going two times for lunch we liked it so much:) We all highly recommend the Swordfish. Olive oil, lemon, and grill- all it needed. 'B' is not a fish person, they ate the fish happily. Salad, we didn't even put oil or vinaigrette the fresh taste is all we needed. The Carbonara- delicious- and the Fries are pretty good too. **Also please note: their pizza is only served at dinner time**

Le Mura in Palermo offers a great Italian dining experience. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the lobster was fresh and tender. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit for delicious pasta and seafood!

First time visitor last night from Australia. I have to say that this was the most delicious Fettuccini alla Lobster i have ever had in my life. Stunning presentation with the Lobster joining the plate. The seating outside is fantastic on a hot Palermo night. (Do not go early on a 30+ day there are no fans to cool you. Service was a little slow to start but quickly got in to gear as the restaurant filled. For dessert there is a fully sized gelato bar inside to choose. Again the serving, presentation and taste was 10/10. If you are a single traveller, couple, family or group booking the food and wine menu (chose the local Chardonnay 35 bottle was excellent) then this place caters for all. Will return it was that good

Their homemade ice cream is so delicious. I recommend the cherry flavored ice cream. Their staff were very accommodating and attentive. The pasta was enriched in pistachio, the waiter substituted the bacon with chicken for us which was very kind of him. My mom liked the “melanzana” pizza.
